Environmental Officer

Responsibility

Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
Assess potential environmental risks and develop management strategies
Monitor air, water, and soil quality during construction
Implement waste management plans and recycling procedures
Promote energy efficiency, water conservation, and biodiversity protection
Provide environmental training to construction staff
Prepare reports on environmental performance and incidents

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Familiarity with local environmental laws and construction processes
Minimum 2 years of environmental management experience in construction
Good written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Ability to analyze data and suggest environmental improvements
Relevant environmental management certifications are advantageous
Ability to work in a dynamic construction environment
