Responsibilities:
- Drafting and developing/enhancing company credit policy.
- Ensuring compliance with internal processes and policies.
- Report to management on outstanding issues and inform them of potential credit risk.
- Lead, guide and motivate the team into a cohesive workforce.
- Delegate the assigned work to the team and review their work.
- Discuss and share on performance feedback and improvement areas with team members on a regular basis.
- Contact customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Handle customers’ requests for certified true copy of invoices, credit notes etc.
- Handle disputes and queries of customers and liaise internally with Sales and/or Operations to escalate issues that are to be handled by other departments.
- Perform reconciliation of accounts to customers’ statement.
- Prepare Accounts Receivables Aging report with comments on subsequent receipts and actions taken on outstanding invoices.
- Continuous review of processes to identify gaps and suggest improvements.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- Candidate shall have at least 5-6 year(s) of relevant managerial experience in credit control and debt collection.
- Experience in collection, credit risks, accounts receivable, and credit law will be required.
- Trading and retail background will be preferred.
- Set up experience along with implementation and process improvement experience will be an added advantage.
- An eye for detail and possessing excellent communication skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
